Highway 66 - Paradise Seeds: With Great Size Comes Even Greater Yields
Doing what they do best, Paradise Seeds has given the iconic L.A. Amnesia a modern twist (L.A. Amnesia x Gelato 33), creating the sativa-dominant Highway 66. But why the name? Well, these plants like to stretch, much like America’s legendary Route 66 that runs from coast to coast. However, don’t let her size put you off, as the flowers boast a unique terpene profile that perfectly complements excellent potency (26% THC).
If you’re growing Highway 66 outdoors, ensure you have extra trellising to support her monstrous size. This sativa-dominant cultivar is no joke, especially as plants enter flowering and start their rapid ascent. With plenty of mid-day sun, plants can quickly reach over 2 m tall and offer an eye-watering 1000 g/plant come October. It’s a similar story indoors, so you’ll need to train and prune plants early in the vegetative stage if space is tight. That said, the extra height comes with a worthwhile trade-up to 550 g/m² after 8–9 weeks of bloom.
If you’re wondering whether the effort to contain this cultivar is worth it, the answer is a simple yes. These buds aren’t just for show, but pack up to 26% THC for a powerful experience that is uplifting without being overwhelming. The flavour profile is equally impressive, thanks to a rather unique terpene blend. Expect an abundance of terpinolene alongside limonene, trans-ocimene, and alpha-humulene. Together, these aromatic compounds provide a floral aroma complemented by hints of lemon and apples.
